Introducing Tandem

Tandem is a next generation "Collaborative Application Platform". It's about working together, working smarter, and giving you complete flexibility to communicate and collaborate wherever and whenever you choose.

The Tandem Desktop provides a fully configurable environment in which to run Tandem applications and manage your data. Your team members are only ever a click away and your workspace stays the same no matter which computer you use to access it.

Browser Based

You access Tandem through your web-browser- it never needs to be installed or managed. And because Tandem is web-application you can access both your applications and your data at any time, and from any location. Work from your desk at the office, at home, or even in a cafe and never lose contact with your group- your data is always available wherever you are. Tandem applications are automatically updated too, so you never need to install, upgrade or otherwise maintain them.

Collaborative

As a Tandem user you instantly become part of a group workspace, you can share data like Contacts, Calendars, Project Documents and more with ease. Members of your team or group are instantly available through built-in messaging, conferencing and e-mail. You can publish and view other users' files using Shared Folders. Using Finder you can quickly locate other users on your site. Most modules have options that allow you to set the visibility options of the data you enter; so a contact, for example, might be private, visible to your Team or Department, or even just public where everyone may view it.

Application Platform

Tandem has been designed to be totally extensible through the development of modular applications and components. As the scope of the platform grows Tandem will deliver never-before seen levels of integration and usability that build on the already impressive foundations. Applications that are traditionally stand-alone, or difficult to configure and integrate will slot seemlessly into the Tandem platform, sharing data and features and truly leveraging and building on the existing application suite.

It is difficult to pin a definition on Tandem as its scope is more than any one application of its use. It is not specifically groupware, or an intranet, or a workspace- it is simply a multi-user platform for the deployment of Tandem applications. How you choose to utilise those applications is down to you, but whatever you want to do we want to help you do it.
